Some days we wake up and question everything...almost a year ago I left the comfort of my small town brokerage for the big fish. I spent 10 months learning the ways of a huge brokerage that is a household name. Yes, under the umbrella of a small town business woman who I admire so much. But I started realizing that everything I left my first brokerage for wasn't what I was after, even though the grass seemed greener. The big and the small of it is that I wanted to run my real estate business as my own and that's just not as simple with companies where everything is about the brand. I learned a lot about myself and the way I wanted to work with every client, the way that would lend the best to growing my knowledge, experience and ability to work with anyone. No transaction is like HGTV, you learn from every one of them. Some are stressful and some a walk in the park. But you cannot grow with out challenges. I am so thankful that one day I called upon an agent I had been in a transaction with and asked her if she was happy with her move. She was very helpful and remembered me well enough to know I would love everything that Southern Classic Realtors stood for, most of all they have a foundation build on God. In today's society, that's hard to find, especially with corporate giants. So a much larger brokerage in the sense of how many agents there are but a family based business that allows me to run my business as I wish, while in compliance with all laws and lets me keep the money I work so hard for. It's a win, win and yes I do think the grass is a bit greener over here but probably because it's being watered. Don't ever be afraid of change, sometimes it is what we need on a temporary basis while other times it's long term. I spent too much time worrying and not acting upon it and now I'm thankful that I made such a change to help ME grow.
